This was the worst car buying experience my husband and I have ever had. I searched online for a vehicle and was contacted by Dwight. He claimed they had the vehicle I wanted on the lot and emailed me a link to view that particular vehicle. After clicking on the link, I saw that the vehicle said it was “in transit”. I questioned Dwight about this, and he stated the vehicle would be there when I arrived. This correspondence was on a Tuesday, and we made an appointment to look at and test drive that particular vehicle on Thursday. We arrived at the dealership Thursday at 3:30 pm, and the vehicle we spoke about was nowhere to be found. Dwight acted like he had no idea what had happened to it and tried to sell me every other color vehicle under the sun when I specifically stated what I wanted (by the way, I had to restate what I wanted at least 5 different times). After already being at the dealership several hours, Dwight claimed they had found the exact vehicle I wanted and they could get it to their dealership and him deliver it to our house on Saturday. We signed papers and finalized the loan with an understanding it was a done deal. We then left the dealership around 9:30 pm-we had been there for 6 hours...most of this time was spent just sitting at Dwight’s desk wondering what in the world was going on. Well, today (Friday, May 29th), I received a TEXT from Dwight stating they were unable to get the car we agreed on and there was not a single one similar to it throughout all of the Southeast region. Keep in mind, this is all through TEXT. He continued to ask me if I would settle for a vehicle in another color, and I told him no. I asked for a manager’s contact information, and this was Dwight’s response: “They gonna tell you the same thing I'm telling you now, would you like to just hear the same thing I'm telling you from a different person okay.” Excuse me, but when someone is spending thousands and thousands of dollars and you are trying to earn a commission and livelihood off of their purchase, you don’t speak to a customer like that. During my texting conversation with Dwight, Wesley, the finance guy, called me trying to smooth things out, and I honestly can’t say enough great things about Wesley. He was very polite and did everything he could to try and close the deal, but after experiencing Dwight’s unprofessionalism, I was no longer interested in them locating any kind of car for me to purchase. Instead, I located the exact car I wanted at a different dealership, and we now have it sitting in our garage. However, we still have to go through the trouble of returning the loaner Toyota Highlander that Dwight gave us, while promising he would pick it back up from our house when he delivered the original car that we had “purchased”...when I asked Dwight when he would come get the loaner, his response was, “You can drop the truck off”, and that’s the last correspondence I have from him. No apology, NOTHING!! We were lied to MULTIPLE times throughout this process, and if you are reading this, save your time and take your business elsewhere.
